Pittaway Wins Training Excellence Award

Pittaway was nominated as a finalist for the TRAINING EXCELLENCE AWARD at the recent Coventry Evening Telegraph Business Awards Ceremony. We are particularly proud of this award as it recognises our commitment to training, which is at the heart of our growing reputation for producing outstanding quality building work in the Coventry area.

The judges were particularly impressed with our historic renovation work at Coventry's Black Swan Terrace in Upper Spon Street. The Terrace is a rare example of a set of medieval workshops and homes, and Pittaway was entrusted to restore this priceless piece of Coventry's heritage. The Black Swan Trust was influenced in its decision to award the contract to Pittaway because of our commitment to improving the local skill base in historic building work. During the project we undertook an incredible 3,000 hours of training for our employees, as well as contributing to community educational seminars and offering work placements to a number of local students and refugees.
